Tim Knutson
As a trusted and versatile security executive and former U.S. Secret Service special agent, Tim Knutson is a collaborative leader with expertise in the development of security, crisis management, and training initiatives that complement and align with business goals and objectives.
Tim started his career in safety and security as a special agent for the U.S. Secret Service where he developed and executed numerous strategic security operations, including security plans for President George W. Bush and the 2008 Presidential Transition Office. Demonstrating his versatility, he also led investigations, in collaboration with the Assistant United States Attorney’s office, of financial crime cases, including counterfeit, forgery and identity theft.
In 2015, he was recruited to build a substantial corporate security operation and programs for a Fortune 200 company, overseeing safety and security for over 100,000 employees throughout the U.S. and abroad. As the Director of Corporate Security, Tim established a system-wide standardization of the Employee Safety and Security program, a tiered Executive Protection program, and a robust cross-organizational infrastructure to address emerging security challenges. He also developed a blueprint of companywide vulnerability and risk assessment, and standardized enterprise-wide vulnerability and risk assessments.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is a TSA Armed Security Officer (ASO). He currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
Jim Savage
Jim Savage is a global risk management strategist and with extensive experience in the energy industry and in the U.S. Secret Service. Jim has been a trusted partner of and advisor to top management and the board of directors, valued for his strategic planning and crisis management leadership.
Jim advises corporations and private sector clients in developing comprehensive risk management, security and workplace violence prevention programs for operations domestically and abroad.
As Chief Security Officer and Senior Vice President for the Global Security Department of Hunt Consolidated Inc. Jim was the leader in creating and executing security and risk-management strategies to protect people, facilities and brand across the entire organization, including headquarters-based personnel and assets in Dallas, and international assets in Kurdistan, Peru, Romania, Mexico, Northern Iraq and Yemen.
Jim went to Hunt following a distinguished career as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, where his last position was that of Deputy Assistant Director responsible for threat assessment, preparedness and prevention programs. He served as a Special Agent, including an appointment to the Senior Executive Service that spanned 11 diverse assignments encompassing an entire spectrum of investigative, protective and intelligence operations, management and administration, in Washington, DC and several field offices.
Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas at Austin and resides in Dallas, TX.
